QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Hundreds lined up in Quincy Tuesday to wash the past month
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) — Hundreds lined up in Quincy Tuesday to wash the past month’s salt, dirt, and grime off their vehicles.
Employees at Autoshine Express off Broadway in Quincy said while they expected a big uptick in business, they didn’t expect it to hit the levels it has in recent days.
They said they’re scrubbing and spraying down cars by the hundreds.
“Over the winter we were supposed to be getting slow, but then more and more people bought fast passes, and it all just boomed from there,” said employee Jared Hudnut.
He said their system is reporting an average of 6-700 cars coming through on a daily basis.
