The Brightline high-speed rail service between Miami and West Palm Beach, Fla., plans to resume service in mid-November.

The service, which was halted due to the pandemic in early 2020, will require all staff to be fully vaccinated prior to the reintroduction of passengers. Safety measures include increased cleaning, prepackaged foods, touchless bathrooms, cashless payment and electronic tickets.

Per the existing federal mandate, staff and guests will be required to wear masks in stations and on board all trains.

During the hiatus, Brightline said it developed a new digital platform and app to help riders complete their pre- and post-train travel. Brightline said the new app will connect riders to a variety of private luxury cars, shared shuttle services, golf carts and “micro-mobility options.”

Brightline said it will announce a specific date for resumption of service closer to November.
